We painted the kitchen this weekend. We'd gotten one of those mixed up cans from Home Depot for $4 and doctored it up to the color we wanted. Without consulting the color strip Mark got the color almost exact to what we'd decided we wanted months ago. Then I went and got the strip to compare to the swatch he painted on the wall and I couldn't believe my eyes. Then again, the man works with ink every day of his working life.

Today we finished the kitchen and I made Easter dinner; ham, au gratin potatoes, salad and green beans and carrots. A simple meal as far as holiday meals go, but yummy. And we'll be having ham all week! And beans. Although I hope I won't regret making beans. Perhaps I should save them for the night I have to do inventory. Make everyone suffer. *snicker* Yeah, I'm like, 4.

BC cat seems to be gaining a little weight. I'd been really concerned about him, that he was getting skinny like Patti-O did. After the food recall, I've made sure to only give him 9 Lives. He seems perkier and more alert. He'd gotten some of the store brand stuff that was on the recall list. But not much of it. He usually gets Friskies or 9 Lives. I'd love to have him here in the condo, but just visiting him for short times makes my allergies go crazy and no one I know wants a 16 year old cat, or is he 17? I'm so bad with dates. I'd make a terrible mother *facepalm*

I'm so tired my thoughts are skittering all over the place. But it was a good weekend. We accomplished things and the best part is the kitchen is finally finished. We can mark that room off the list. And it's so pretty, I can't stop looking at how the green really sets off the brown and black tiles of the backsplash.

Again with the skittering thoughts. Now that I've truly embraced SGA, I'm finding there are a few stories I have gone back to a few times. There are others I'm waiting to read in one sitting. The Raising Madison series, for example. I've seen a few requests in SGA_storyfinders for it. The only thing that stops me from going ahead and reading it is that I actually would like to watch the episode Madison shows up on (or is there more than one?) I have lots of SGA to catch up on and I'm waiting to the marathon on the Sci Fi channel to fill in lots of blanks.

OK, that's enough rambling for now. :)
