Woke up rather groggy today, took forever to get my ass into gear. I ended up not eating lunch and had to scoot for the bus without any certainty that I'd get it-this is one of those holidays where one scratches her head and ponders the bus schedule, wondering if it's running on holiday hours or normal workaday times. As I stood there, fretting, my neighbot approached me, offered a ride to work. She was getting her car from the service center that I was standing in front of, after all...
There were a few bumps in the getting of the car, but, whatever, I had me a ride to work. *woots*
Once at work, it was run run, get this done, "hey Lorraine, can you get the books I said I'd put away for you yesterday all boxed up for returns? kthx!" Grrr. Had a talk with the AM about that. Don't mind doing my share, but if the buck is gonna get passed through several folks, only to land on my ass, I'd like to know why!
Once again I seem to be the person people tell everything to. It's been awhile since I was in this position, but, at least I get to know who's disgruntled (everyone). It wasn't a bad day, in the end. Got to write a little, got to eat Chinese food, even had Junior mints. And I had coffee, real coffee! Haven't been able to drink that since this whole infected tooth business started. Wheeeee!
