This was a moving and gorgeous film. I can't remember when the last time was that a movie made me cry, but I was wiping my eyes on the sly and sniffling.

I loved the use of color as symbolism. It also served to separate elements of plot as well as simply being gorgeous on its own. The use of red in this movie is unsurpassed. I'd watch it again just to see the images.

The fights scenes were just, ah, how do I describe the blend of fantasy and martial arts? I couldn't help but compare this to Kill Bill and how this film out classes it on every level. The fight scenes, the dialogue, the story's basic message which wasn't cheapened by its simplicity. And I think I started to learn Chinese.

Go see the film, folks. It's absolutely worth it.
