Last week a couple, a minister and wedding party all headed up the escalator to perform a wedding in front of the Art Armoire. They didn't ask anyone, they just did it. I'm the only one who had a clue what was happening because I'd been talking to a lady about how much we were glad we didn't live in the times of Tess of the D'Urbervilles and Wuthering Heights. Depressing and bleak, people who rarely bathe, hunger and abuse and duty. Thanks, but no. Anyway, she told me she was waiting for a wedding party. Silly me, I thought they were all to get together and then go elsewhere, where's there's flowers and stuff...Shortly after leaving the customer, I see her riding the escalator with a bunch of guilty looking people and one excited appearing bridal couple. I called the manager and we all clustered together, giggling as we watched the ceremony take place. It was quiet in the store, at the time, so we chose not to make an issue of it. *shrugs* Still, who does this?

And then a few days ago I could swear the couple was back, posing for pictures on the stairs leading to Music. I called the manager again, but they'd finished. What is up with people?

But really, it's only spam because I thought I'd lost the previous post.

Anyway. I made bagels today! *beam* I followed the directions on the Pamela's Products website (I'm sorry, I sound like a salewoman, but the bread mix is good!) and now I have several chewy and rather tasty gluten free bagels. I have bagel pizzas in the oven. Squee!

Today I made more progress on the book that was advanced to me by a publisher. It's the author's first book and I nearly gave up on it during the first 20 pages. It got better, thank god. Although I keep reading ahead, because his style isn't one that makes me just die to read more. I think I'm spoiled, because the people on my flist write much better stuff in my favorite fandoms. This new author has scads of characters who all sound nearly identical. He spends way too much time explaining the technical stuff. It came to me, as I was falling asleep after a chapter, that it's basically NCIS without good writing or humor.
