WTF?

I was getting off the bus and saw a man with a woman and a few security guards bent over something on the ground. A teeny little black blob. I had an awful suspicion it was a puppy and I was right. It was curled up on the ground and the man explained that he'd seen these people throwing puppies out a car window and this was the puppy he could find. He also said he'd worked for quite a while, getting it breathing. Since this happened in a small park, the guards took custody of the puppy.

The man picked it up and turned it over to show the puppy's injury on it's belly. It started to squeal, loudly. Not a pained squeal, but an outraged one. I think it had fallen asleep while the man and the guards were talking. Poor little thing. I mean, really, what the fuck is wrong with people?
