Why do bland and boring saltines cost as much as a box of Cheezits? And it's not like I'm super cheap, I do give the cats Iams now, after noticing that the Purin ONE was actually making them LOSE weight! (And what's up with that?) Anyway, I did buy the Always Save brand of saltines, which cost less than a third of the Premium or Krispy brands.

Was going to get turkey franks, the only ones I could find were kosher franks with only 8 franks in the package. They were .69, the expiration date is 3 days from now. I passed.

The grocery stores in Kansas City, Mo and Ks are kinda odd. On the one hand you've got the stores in the nicer neighborhoods with the good selections and good prices. However, you can travel to a similair nice store just over the state line and pay more, or pay less, all in stores with the same Price Chopper name, but here's the kicker; there's Price Chopper and then there's Cosentino's Price Chopper. And, usually, the Cosentino's Price Chopper is a nicer store with lower prices. Did I mention KC has mob connections like woah? It's always been like that here.

But hey, thanks to the mob, I get lower prices. Just don't tell me what went on in the meat locker to get me them, really. It's better I don't know. *looks shifty and starts flipping a coin*

Oh and the stores in the bad neighborhoods? Forget it, no one gets a good deal. But, sadly, that's the case everywhere, isn't it?
