I think we've been everywhere now, no really. I've seen more moutains in the past few days than I even knew existed. Saw Yellowstone. Smelled Yellowstone. LOL

We went to a store that sold opals factory direct from a mine in a mountain right behind the building. I was tempted, I wanted to buy it all, settled a on a pair of earrings and a really gorgeous pendant.

The trip has been going great. There's been a wee bit of crankiness here and there, but that's to be expected when we're spending so many hours on the road. Highlights definitely outweigh the annoyances. I couldn't believe my eyes when we first saw the mountains in Colorado. The highest I'd ever seen had been the Appalacians and they really don't compare (although they're scenic.) It has rained everywhere we went at some point or the other, I think we're bringing the rain clouds with us! LOL

We saw some hills on fire as we were headed to Billings for the night. Smoke hung in the air in a thick dark haze, making it seem darker than it was. Once we got past, we could see it was still daylight. But not for long.

Tomorrow is the Custer Battlefield. Then we'll be heading to Mt Rushmore, will be spending 2 nights in one place, which will be nice, because I'm a little weary of sleeping and dashing.

I miss so many of you. Will be home Friday night, most likely. I'm going through withdrawls for sure. *g*

*points to icon* Been spending lots of time in Wyoming. ;)
