They've been taking volunteers to go home early at work, apparently the managers managed to get us so far over on hours that it's better to leave the salesfloor mostly unattended to save man hours. *gives management their stupid sign*
I volunteered to go a few hours early today, then took the bus to the mall. Well, buses, it takes two. I was looking out the window during my ride and thinking how nice it was to take a different way home. I even considered taking three buses just so I could sometimes go to Waldo Pizza and bring home dinner.
At the mall I wandered around Target and headed over to the electronics section to look at new cell phones. I ended up rather insulted that the salesman assumed I needed to wait until I could afford a new phone before buying, which is not true. The thing that made me hesitate, other than his annoying assumption, was whether I wanted to sink money into another Tracfone, or get a T Mobil phone, the kind you can buy minutes for, as opposed to being tied to a contract. T Mobil has a bigger map of coverage and I do take a trip once or twice a year. Anyway, after he left me to answer a call, I wandered through the store and picked out a few things I was wanting. A new metal collander, the DVD of Closer M&Ms and some socks. I wanted a permanent coffee filter, but they only had size #4 and I needed #2. So, I decided to head to Starbucks. The S'bucks folks didn't know if the aroma solo filter would work, but told me I could bring it back if it didn't work. So, S'bucks folks? The aroma solo filter works for the person who wants a #2 filter.
Also have a few of the new cupcakes from S'bucks, haven't tried them yet, they're for dessert for the hubby and myself tonight. I'm making Chicken parmigiana. :)
My last purchase of the day was put on as soon as I got on the bus. An ankle support since I seemed to have done something to my heel and it's swollen. Enough with the ankle, heel and knee problems! Jeez!
I decided to get some spring rolls on the way home. Yum and I think the guy might have given me too much money back. Which is funny, because I dreamed last night that I found money. Been sleeping rather well since I stopped drinking coffee late at night. *sigh* But I need the clarity of caffeine. *whine*
And god, I can't believe it. I was standing in front of the ticket booth and actually decided against seeing Brokeback Mountain a third time. I'll be buying the DVD, but the next movie I see needs to be something new. Besides, I got to get some cool stuff today. Still, I feel like such a bad slasher! *hangs head/grins*
