A few things

A year ago today I lost my Dad. It didn't really occur to me that I might have some troubles with this day until every song playing at work sounding like some angsty, sob inducing crap. It also didn't help that Neil Young's new album actually has a song that sounds like a funeral dirge.

I got permission to go home and indulge my doldrums (I was hoping to not have any outbursts before I left, but that didn't happen *sigh*). I got Chinese food, soda, candy and a few minutes after I walked into the house, Fed Ex showed up with my new phone. So, I've got that all set up. Was pleased to find that I can use my old battery, apparently that part didn't get ruined from being dropped in the bucket. Hallelujah!

The man on the phone from Tracfone was so sweet, he kept saying, "just one lovely minute, please." It made me smile. And they gave me extra minutes and extra time as well, I believe. So, in all, if I had to drop my stupid phone in the bucket, at least the company made it worth my while to get a new one. And no one said, "you dropped your phone in a mop bucket? What are you, stupid?" Cause really, I've done that enough on my own.

I'm quite tired, now. I think I will take a nap and then mosey back online in a little while.
