Who'dve thunk?

More work related stuff.

There is this girl at work who is quite lovely and super shy. But she always has a smile for every one. She's been the object of unkindness because of her mouse-like ways.

And then today she worked in the kids department. Today (well, thursday, since it's after midnight now) was the day we have children's story time. And no one thought to set anything up. (Thank god I asked the manager about it!)

I approached the shy worker and told her about the problem and get this. She volunteered. She not only volunteered, she acted out the stories and just entertained the stuffing out of the kids.

So, I spread the word. And it feels nice, because everyone was pleased and she now (finally) has something that we can point to and say, "look, she's great at that." Personally, I think she should work in the kids department.

Aaargh!

I was scanning my flist and came across the new post from oncidium_muses and that part of me that is looking for a new fandom, perked up and said, "how about scary stories?" *runs screaming* OK, so I've been having dreams with zombies in them, does the brain have to point out that they might be useful in the scary story writing stuff?

*runs in circles*

I don't write horror! I don't! *smacks self on head*
