The dog has been barking in the early morning quite a bit this week. Although today she managed to wait until after the spusal unit left to start her ravings. I think it's because she had an ear infection that I've finally managed to clear up for her and she can hear the other dogs in the neighborhood barking a little better now. Still, this translates into me waking up several times at ungodly hours to check on her, check her ears (which are fine, no pain)and let her out. I refuse to feed her terribly early because I don't want her getting it set in her mind, "I bark, Mom feeds me." Still, it's frustrating. And it could also be the colder weather, Vicky has long had a pattern of behavior changing when it grows cold, snows, things like that. And she's so perky when I open that bedroom door and see her. And no, the dog does not sleep in the same room with us. I spoil her otherwise, but she is not allowed in our sleeping area, I'm too light a sleeper for that.
