About some of the pieces of Ewan fan fiction that keep me coming back, wanting to read them over and over. One thing they all have in common is their NC-17 rating. I admit it, I like to read smut just as much as I like to write it. Another thing that they have in common is that they are very well written. I have a list of 5 unforgettable stories I read over and over for one reason or another. In no particular order they are: The Sweet Science of Bruising by Writestuff, Forgotten by Trudy West, The Impasse by Sheila, The Walking Wounded Series by Rahalia (closely followed by her RPS trilogy) and Sacred and Profane by Alex(which I believe I love even more than Provocateur, which is saying alot). With the exception of Sacred and Profane, all the others can be found on the M_A archive.
All of these stories have truly memorable sex scenes in them, ones that just knock me over with their intensity. With the Sweet Science of Bruising it has to be the infamous 'light saber scene'. I remember reading this and just being knocked off my feet. I had never before experienced a scene so erotic and nasty that pushed every single one of my buttons. I don't even care that it's Bruck in the scene. It's just hot, period.
In Forgotten there is the description of Qui-Gon draped over Obi-Wan's body, thrusting into him and then him whispering in his ear that simply sends me over the edge. Repeated readings have not dimiinished the effect of this image on me. I probably read this storyonce a week.
The Walking Wounded Series. So many images here from which to chose, Curt fucking Christian in the window, the airplane sex, Curt dreaming about Christian jerking off wearing a pair of his black leather pants... It's all gold.
The Impasse has the longest blow job scene I've ever read. Now, I'm not as convinced when Qui-Gon starts his monologue, that the dialogue is as good. but the description of the frightened Obi-Wan, having his padawan braid unraveled, his very real anguish at losing his master and the very well done seduction by Mace makes this story one that I return to at least once a month.
This brings me to Sacred and Profane. This is the story that breaks my pattern of reading smut for smut's sake. Sacred and Profane is as much about the characterizations as it is about the erotic love scenes between Charles and Julien. In fact, I would say that I haven't read more loving love scenes anywhere in Ewan fandom. I love this story, I wish it was a book. In fact, if Alex changed the names, I imagine she could very easily sell it as gay historic fiction. The characters sound dead on, the circumstances are believable, but best of all, the love between Charles and Julien is very real. This is just a damn good story (WiP) it gives me a hppy little lift to see chapters of this in my mailbox.
