The difference between the $85k loan and the $80k loan is about $30 bucks a month. Dude, no way am I getting the smaller condo when I can have two huuuge closets the other doesn't have, plus a hallway and more usable walls in the bedroom. No brainer there.
Went to one last complex and looked at 4 units. My god, I saw the ugliest thowback to the 1070s ever! Deep rest carperting everywhere. Covering stairs, a deep thick pile. Hideous, truly. The condo was cut up into these weird split levels and the wallpaper has to be seen to be experienced. Needless to say, the realtor and I were practically roaring with laughter.
Visited another single unit condo, the door opposite opens and a female head pops out "am I getting a neighbor?" Um, not unless you stop burning fifty sticks of insense at once! Did you know patchouli can be used as a lethal weapon? Neither did I. I'm still clearing out my sinuses!
Headed back to look at the condos I really like. And I still really really want to live there. It's central and there's stores across the street, buses everywhere. It's fantastic, we'd be nuts to let it go.
