Earlier today some guy (I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to recognize him, but I didn't) came in wanting the Brokeback Mountain From Book to Screenplay book. I had to tell him that yes, we had one, but it was already ear-marked for another customer, but I could order him one. And the ass actually expected me to take it from the other person so he could have it. I told him no. So, he goes downstairs and sweet-talks his way into letting the guy who calls people who special order books (to let them know their book has arrived) give him the special ordered volume that had already been promised to someone else. Who had been CALLED that we had her book.
Livid doesn't begin to describe how I felt. I don't care that he's going to be doing some kind of follow up movie to Brokeback Mountain (I shudder to think), he had no right to throw his weight around and get what he wanted. Plus I hated his attitude, he acted like I should want to do everything in the world that he wanted. *gnashes teeth* I really hope that if there is some kind of sequel, that it's done right, with Annie Proulx doing the writing and the original cast returning. *crosses fingers*
