Today hubby and I ran around getting stuff for our vacation starting in just one week! New sneakers, new belts, new backpack (only $3.24 at Target, OMG!) and assorted little bottles and little trip sized containers of stuff. We still need to pack for the trip, buy car food and plan out just exactly where we're going. Our method on these trips is usually driving until exhaustion sets in and staying in the cheapest place we can find.

loreleif This year we're hopping from one place to the other, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Salt Lake City, Denver and whatever else we can look at along the way. The point is getting away from our normal lives and seeing something we've not seen before. After years of never going anywhere, these "hit the road and go" vacations are still a real novelty. :)
